Web analysis tools

Our website uses functions of the following web analysis services:

Google Analytics

Google AdWords

Google DoubleClick

Google Tag Manager

Social Media plugins

The details of the individual web analysis services can be found in the following explanations.

———-

Google Analytics

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer), we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google uses cookies.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our website by users, to compile reports on the activities within this website and to provide us with further services related to the use of this website and the internet. The processed data can be used to create pseudonymous user profiles of the users. These user profiles are automatically deleted after 26 months.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

You can find further information on data use by Google, setting and contradiction possibilities on the websites of Google: LINK (data use by Google when you use websites or apps of our partners), LINK (data use for advertising purposes), LINK (manage information that Google uses to show you advertising).

———-

Google AdWords

On the basis of the legitimate interest will use the advertising program “Google AdWords” belonging to Google Marketing Services Online. Google AdWords will set a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our site and the cookie has not expired, we and Google may recognize that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our site. Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. We do not receive any information that can identify you personally.

The information collected by the cookie about your use of the website is typically transferred to and stored on a Google server in the United States. Based on the information collected, your browser will be assigned categories relevant to your interests. These categories are used to serve interest-based advertising.

We use the data about you acquired with the above-mentioned cookie (so-called conversion tracking) for the following purposes:

Remarking

Target groups with common interests

User-defined target groups with common interests

Consumer target groups

Similar target groups

Demographic and geographical focus.

———-

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags from one interface. We use Google Tag Manager to integrate and manage Google’s analysis and marketing services into our website. The Tag Manager tool itself, which implements the tags, is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal information. The tool does, however, trigger other tags that may collect data. Google Tag Manager itself does not access this data.

Social Media plugins / social media functionalities

What social plugins are

Plugins are small programs or program packages with which software can be adapted and extended according to your own needs. Many programs such as graphics programs, media players or Internet browsers support in their basic version the functions that the normal user needs. More and more often, such programs are flexible and there are extensive possibilities for expansion through plugins or add-ons.

Which plugins we use

On our website we have included links to our social media profiles on the following social networks:

Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA,

Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA

LinkedIn., 1000 W Maude Ave, Sunnyvale, CA USA

Youtube, a service operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre, Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

When you link to one of our social media profiles, a direct connection is established between your browser and the server of the social network in question. This tells the network that you have used your IP address to visit our website and access the link. If you link to a network while logged into your account on that network, the content on our site may be linked to your profile on the network. This means that the network can link your visit to our site directly to your account and we receive personal information such as your name, email, location, friends list and profile picture. This information allows us to provide certain features on the site. If you wish to prevent this, you should log out before clicking on any links. In any case, an assignment takes place when you log in to the relevant network after clicking the link.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Google or Instagram via your user account while visiting our website, the respective provider can also assign the visit to the page to your user account. If you interact with a plug-in, for example, by clicking the “Like” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there. The information is also published in the respective social network via your user account and displayed to your contacts.

Even if you are not logged in to the providers of the plug-ins while visiting our website, the data collected by the plug-ins may be assigned to your respective user account. A plug-in sets a cookie with an identifier each time you visit the website. Since your browser sends this cookie with every connection to a server of the respective provider without being asked, Facebook, Google and Instagram could in principle use it to create a profile of which website the user belonging to the identifier has called up. If necessary, it would then be possible to assign this ID to a person again at a later date, for example when logging in to the provider.

If you do not wish to have your profile assigned by the plug-in provider, you must log out of the respective service before visiting our website. In addition, you can select the “Block third-party cookies” function in your browser settings, in which case your browser will not send any cookies to the respective social network server. With this setting, however, other cross-site functions of other providers may no longer function, apart from the plug-ins.

For further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data, please refer to the data protection information of the respective providers: There you will also find further information on your rights and settings options for the protection of your privacy and your right to object to the creation of user profiles:
